THE PEOPLE'S STORY
Sheila has dedicated most of her life to taking care of others in need. She has spent over 20 years sitting with the elderly who can no longer take care of themselves. Sheila is known for her good down home southern cooking and her fun loving personality. Over the past 10 years Sheila has had several major setbacks due to health issues. Most recently she was hospitalized after having a stroke and losing the ability to speak. After months of rehabilitation, Sheila is now back home and learning to speak again. She no longer has the ability to work and needs a wheelchair to get around. Her home is still damaged from the effects of Hurricane Katrina and is in need of both financial assistance and help to repair her house.
